TORONTO, December 17, 2025- Park Street Education, a registered Canadian charity dedicated to closing the equity gap in education for underserved youth, has received a $25,000 community investment from Scotiabank. The funding is enabled through ScotiaRISE™, the Bank's community investment initiative to promote economic resilience - and help people and communities thrive on their own terms – by helping to remove barriers to advancement and increasing access to opportunities.

This renewed support will enable Park Street Education to continue expanding its High School Support Program, providing free virtual tutoring and enrichment sessions for 25 high school students across Canada. The program focuses on building academic confidence, motivation, and essential study skills—empowering youth to stay engaged in school and plan for their futures.

“We’re incredibly grateful to ScotiaRISE for their continued partnership,” said Sam Leach, Co-Founder and Curriculum Director at Park Street Education. “This renewal allows us to build on last year’s success and deepen our impact—offering even more consistent, individualized support that helps students believe in themselves and their potential.”

“Providing access to tutoring support can help students successfully graduate from high school, and it can also build a strong foundation for their transition to post-secondary education," said Jason Charlebois, Regional Senior Vice President, Toronto Region, Scotiabank. “Through renewed funding from ScotiaRISE, we are proud to continue supporting Park Street Education’s High School Supports Program and contribute to students’ long-term success."

Through this ongoing partnership, Park Street will deliver weekly one-on-one tutoring sessions and Peer-to-Peer group program on topics such as stress management, organization, and post-secondary readiness. The program will run throughout the year, prioritizing students from underserved communities, newcomer families, and those connected with child welfare agencies. Since its founding in 2020, Park Street Education has supported more than 1,000 young learners nationwide—with 87% reporting increased motivation and 75% demonstrating measurable academic improvement.
