Supporting the adults who support young people

Caregiver/Adult Peer-to-Peer Program

At Park Street Education, supporting the whole child also means recognizing and supporting the parents and caregivers who guide them.

Our Caregiver Peer-to-Peer Program provides a welcoming virtual space where caregivers can connect, share experiences and explore practical topics related to parenting, family life and personal wellbeing.

The Fall 2026 series will be delivered in partnership with Talk Listen Connect.

Why We Created the Caregiver Program

Caregivers play an essential role in a young person’s confidence, wellbeing and relationship with learning. However, caregivers do not always have access to spaces where they can ask questions, share experiences and connect with others navigating similar challenges.

Park Street introduced caregiver programming after identifying a clear need for support designed specifically for the adults surrounding young people. The program creates space for practical learning, honest conversation and peer connection while recognizing that caregivers also need opportunities to feel supported and heard.

What We Learned from Previous Terms

Previous caregiver sessions confirmed that families value programming created specifically for them. Caregivers told us that the sessions were helpful because they combined practical information with opportunities to connect and speak openly with others navigating similar experiences.

Their participation and feedback reinforced the need for this program to continue. It also showed us that caregivers are looking for relevant, accessible support that recognizes the realities of family life without judgement.

This term builds on this learning with a session based series and topics that reflect the needs caregivers have shared with us.
