Class Attendance & Scheduling Policy

At Park Street Education, our programs are fully funded through charitable support. Every spot represents an investment in a child’s learning and confidence. Because spaces are limited and waitlists are long, consistent attendance is essential. We view families as partners in this commitment.

Group Class Expectations (Academic & Peer-to-Peer Programs)

By enrolling in a group class, caregivers agree to the following:

Attendance Commitment

  • Every effort will be made for the student to attend all scheduled classes.

  • Group lessons are planned in advance and rely on full participation.

Missed Classes

  • If a student misses three (3) classes, their spot may be forfeited to allow another child to participate.

  • If a student cannot attend, caregivers must notify info@parkstreetedu.com at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Failure to provide 24 hours’ notice will be recorded as a missed class.

Communication

  • Caregivers agree to read and respond to teacher or program emails in a timely manner.

Behaviour Expectations

  • Students are expected to participate respectfully and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment.

  • Inappropriate or disrespectful behaviour may result in removal from the class or program.

One-to-One (1:1) Tutoring Expectations

One-to-one tutoring spots are limited and highly subsidized through charitable funding.

By accepting a 1:1 tutoring spot, caregivers agree to the following:

Attendance Commitment

  • Every effort will be made to attend all scheduled sessions.

  • If a student misses two (2) sessions, the tutoring spot may be reassigned to a student on the waitlist.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Caregivers must notify the tutor at least 48 hours in advance if a session must be rescheduled.

  • Sessions may be rescheduled if agreed upon by both parties and outside the 48-hour window.

  • Failure to provide 48 hours’ notice will be considered a missed session.

Partnership with the Tutor

  • Caregivers agree to maintain open communication with the tutor.

  • Students are encouraged to send materials or topics in advance so the tutor can prepare effectively.

  • Timely communication supports a productive and personalized learning experience.

Behaviour Expectations

  • Students are expected to engage respectfully and appropriately.

  • Repeated inappropriate behaviour may result in termination of the tutoring placement.
