We’re excited to launch our Winter 2026 programs at Park Street Education, blending curiosity, creativity, and collaboration across languages, literature, and STEM. This term’s theme - Detection - invites students to think like investigators: spotting patterns, uncovering meaning, and discovering connections in the world around them. From decoding language in French and English to detecting patterns in STEM, our Winter Term inspires learners to look closer, think deeper, and question more.

Peer-To-Peer Program: In stressful situations - Where do you go from here?

Junior (Grades 4–7) | Senior (Grades 8–12) 🧠

Life is filled with changes. For some, they have experienced a move and miss their former home. Others, perhaps, are seeing a shift in their family life. Perhaps a parent or an older sibling is moving out. For many students, they are uncertain about the future subjects which they will take in school. As students get older, the changes and decisions feel bigger. This P2P class will help students feel less alone as they experience or think about changes coming up in their lives. They will see that others face the same worries about uncertainty and will gain insights from their peers on how to manage them.

Peer-To-Peer Program: Parents and Caregivers🧠

We know that parenting comes with its challenges. In our face-paced world, we often find that we carry more stress than we would like. You also probably recognize that your child also faces certain stressors. It is incredibly hard to watch your children struggle. We want to help! These sessions will be led by Claire Barron who has extensive experience helping people manage stress; she will teach you some techniques which you can do on your own or with your children. More importantly, you will be given the opportunity to learn from other parents. Together you will support one another along this wonderful journey we call parenthood.

English: Detectives Looking for Literary Devices in film, poetry and short stories

Junior (Grades 4–6) 📱

In this term’s “Story Detectives” theme, students will become literary sleuths - reading stories, poems, and plays to detect literary devices, hidden meanings, and author intentions. Through fun challenges and creative writing exercises, they’ll learn how clues like imagery, dialogue, and structure shape a story. By the end, students will read more thoughtfully, write more creatively, and think more critically about how stories work.

Senior (Grades 7–8) 📱

Students become text detectives, investigating how writers craft meaning and influence readers. They’ll explore themes of mystery, identity, and truth in literature while learning to identify motifs, tone, and subtext with confidence. Through analysis, debate, and their own writing, students will strengthen both their analytical and creative voices - skills essential for academic success and beyond.

STEM: Detectives using experiments and challenges to detect patterns, test hypotheses

Junior (Grades 4–6)🤖

Students become scientific detectives, using experiments and challenges to detect patterns, test hypotheses, and solve real-world puzzles. Each week, they’ll use observation, logic, and teamwork to uncover the “why” behind scientific phenomena - from forces and motion to light and sound. By following clues and asking questions, students build curiosity and scientific thinking.

Senior (Grades 7–8) 🤖

This course challenges students to think like innovators and investigators, exploring how pattern recognition drives discovery in science, technology, and engineering. Whether analyzing data, cracking design challenges, or tracing cause-and-effect in experiments, students learn to apply the mindset of a researcher - detecting connections between ideas and developing creative solutions to complex problems.

Financial Confidence – Junior (Grades 4–6) | Senior (Grades 7–8) 💰

This course helps students build the knowledge and confidence to make smart financial choices. Through fun, hands-on activities, participants learn how to budget, save, spend wisely, understand credit, and plan for their future. Aimed at students in grades 4 to 8, the program connects critical financial concepts to everyday life, such as managing allowance, setting savings goals, and comparing different bank accounts, so lessons feel useful and real. Families are encouraged to join in through take-home activities that reinforce what students learn in class. By the end of the program, students will have the tools and habits they need to manage money responsibly, make informed decisions, and feel confident about their financial future.

French – Participate in discussions, creative projects, and real-life communication practice

Junior (Grades 4–6)| Senior (Grades 7–8) 🇫🇷

Our French programs help students build confidence and fluency through interactive, engaging activities tailored to their level. Junior learners explore foundational skills through stories, songs, and games that encourage them to use tone, expression, and context to detect meaning. Senior students dive deeper into authentic French texts, films, and conversations, strengthening their critical thinking as they identify patterns in grammar, idioms, and cultural references. Across both groups, students participate in discussions, creative projects, and real-life communication practice—building sharper listening skills and a stronger, more confident voice in French.
