Terms and Conditions / Cancellation Policy

 

Program Participation

As a registered charity, Park Street Education does not charge fees for its educational programs. We may request voluntary donations to support our operations. Participation in Tutoring or Enrichment Courses will commence once registration is confirmed. Participants are requested to respect our resources and commit to attending scheduled sessions.

Program Delivery and Communication

Park Street Education is responsible for:

  • Connecting students with tutors/educators

  • Maintaining consistent communication with tutors/educators

  • Handling all administration and coordination

In the unlikely event a course cannot be delivered, we will make every effort to provide an alternative or reschedule. Families are encouraged to provide feedback on tutors and services directly to Park Street Education's administration.

Scheduling and Cancellations

Participants are kindly requested to notify us at least 24 hours in advance if they need to cancel or reschedule a tutoring session.

Donations and Fundraising

Donations made to Park Street Education are greatly appreciated and will be used to support our charitable educational programs. Donations are eligible for tax receipts in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency guidelines.

Media Waiver

Park Street Education may record students' images and voices during program participation. Authorized uses of recordings:

a. Within the Park Street Education Community

b. In promotional materials outside the community

Students may create various works during program participation. Authorized uses of student works:

a. Within the Park Street Education Community

b. In promotional materials outside the community

​

Authorizations granted are non-exclusive. Park Street Education retains title to all recordings and publications. Park Street Education is not liable for unauthorized use of materials by other parties. Rights granted extend to Park Street Education's affiliated entities and personnel.

Waiver: Release of Information Form

Written consent is required to release personal information about students, in accordance with privacy laws. Protected information includes:

  • Course participation and progress

  • Contact information

  • Marks and attendance
     

For students under 18, parents/guardians have access to educational information until the student's 18th birthday. Personal information is collected under the authority of the Education Act and relevant privacy laws.
