CIBC Foundation Continues Its Support of Park Street Education’s STEM Academic program for youth in care

TORONTO, ON (July 2026) – Park Street Education is grateful to receive continued support from CIBC Foundation. The funding will strengthen Park Street Education’s STEM academic programming, helping students build stronger academic foundations, grow in confidence, develop meaningful connections, and remain engaged in school.

This support comes as Park Street builds on important learning from the first phase of BeSeen, its specialized program for youth connected to the child welfare system. Young people in the program experience changes in homes, schools, caregivers, and support systems. These disruptions can create learning gaps and make it difficult to build trust and remain connected to education.

“What we are learning through BeSeen has reinforced that young people need more than occasional academic help. They need consistent support, trusted relationships, and spaces where they feel seen and know they belong,” said Karen Stern, Executive Director, Park Street Education. “We are grateful to CIBC Foundation for continuing to stand behind our students and helping us build that foundation across our programs.”
