📚 English – Foundations of Knowledge (Literary Allusions) | Grades 4–8
In this engaging English course, students will explore literary and cultural allusions that authors often reference in books and media. Through research, collaborative learning, and student-led teaching, participants will build a shared “Foundations of Knowledge” bank featuring figures and stories such as Aristotle, The Emperor’s New Clothes, and Sisyphus. Students will strengthen reading comprehension, critical thinking, research skills, and public speaking confidence while participating in interactive quiz-style games that make learning fun and memorable.
🔬 STEM – Passion Project | Grades 4–8
In our STEM Passion Project, students will take ownership of their learning by researching and presenting a topic that genuinely excites them, from the solar system and animal behaviour to genetics, weather patterns, and beyond. With guidance from their teacher, students will refine their ideas, build presentation skills, and develop confidence in sharing their knowledge with peers. This course will encourage curiosity, leadership, and public speaking while celebrating each student’s unique interests. When registering, students should have a general idea of the topic they would like to explore and present.
💰 Financial Confidence | Grades 4–8
This course will help students build the knowledge and confidence to make smart financial choices. Through fun, hands-on activities, participants will learn how to budget, save, spend wisely, understand credit, and plan for their future. Designed for students in grades 4 to 8, the program will connect financial concepts to real-life situations such as managing allowance, setting savings goals, and comparing bank accounts so lessons feel practical and relevant. By the end of the program, students will have the tools and habits they need to manage money responsibly and feel confident about their financial future.
🇫🇷 French – Be Curious | Grades 4–8
In this conversational French class, students will build confidence in speaking and understanding everyday French. Through guided discussion and peer practice, students will learn vocabulary to ask meaningful questions, share about their interests, and express gratitude. Together, they will develop practical phrases that support real conversation. This class is ideal for beginner and developing learners who are strengthening their spoken French skills and is not intended for students currently in French immersion programs.
💬 Peer-to-Peer – They Made Me Do It! Managing Peer Pressure | Grades 4–8
In this Peer-to-Peer course, students will explore the challenges of peer pressure and the growing influence of social media on young people. Through guided discussion, group conversations, and real-world examples, students will reflect on fitting in, decision-making, body image, and staying true to their values. Junior students will focus on recognizing peer pressure and making healthy choices, while senior students will explore higher-stakes decisions and long-term consequences. Students will develop practical strategies to set boundaries, build confidence, and navigate friendships with integrity.
🎓 Study Skills Peer-to-Peer – High School: The Present and Beyond | Grades 9–12
In this high school course, students will develop the study skills, time management strategies, and decision-making tools needed for academic success and post-secondary planning. Students will explore their strengths, build organization techniques, learn about course selection and university or college pathways, and discuss balancing academics with social life. With guidance from teachers and guest speakers, students will gain clarity, confidence, and practical skills to navigate high school and prepare for what comes next.
🏡 Peer-to-Peer – Parents & Caregivers | Adults
Parenting is both joyful and overwhelming. In partnership with Talk Listen Connect, this session offers parents and caregivers practical strategies to manage stress, support their child’s wellbeing, and find greater work–life balance. We will also explore Financial Confidence—covering budgeting, saving, credit, and how to talk to children about money—while reinforcing lessons from our youth program. Caregivers will leave feeling more confident, connected, and empowered.
