Park Street Education Receives One-Year Grant from RBC Foundation to Launch Financial Literacy Programming for Youth

TORONTO, ON (Nov 3, 2025) – Park Street Education is thrilled to announce a new one-year grant of $30,000 from RBC Foundation, supporting the launch and national expansion of our Financial Literacy Program — beginning with a five-week pilot this fall during Financial Literacy Month.

The Park Street Financial Literacy Program, supported by RBC Foundation, helps students in Grades 4–8 build the knowledge and confidence to make smart financial decisions. Through fun, hands-on activities, students learn how to budget, save, spend wisely, and understand credit — with take-home family

challenges that make learning about money a shared experience.

This fall’s pilot marks the first phase of a broader, year-long initiative to strengthen financial literacy skills among underserved youth across Canada. Over the year, the program will grow to reach more students and community partners — helping young Canadians develop healthy financial habits early in life. In upcoming terms, dedicated sessions for families and caregivers will be introduced, offering opportunities to learn alongside their children and strengthen financial habits across the household.

“Financial literacy is about more than just numbers — it’s about confidence, independence, and opportunity,” said Sam Leach, Co-Founder and Curriculum Director at Park Street Education. “Thanks to RBC Foundation’s generous support, we’re helping students understand money as a tool for empowerment, not anxiety.”

The initiative aligns with RBC’s ongoing commitment to improve the strength and resilience of our communities by helping people build financial confidence and manage their current and future financial situations.
