Park Street Education – Summer Camp 2025
Theme: Inspiring Digital Thinkers for a Connected World
This summer, Park Street is launching our very first three-week virtual summer camp — and it’s unlike anything we’ve done before. Focused on the digital world students live in every day, our camp blends bold ideas with interactive projects, peer collaboration, and thought-provoking discussions. Each week explores a new theme through a mix of real-world case studies, hands-on challenges, and facilitator-led sessions designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

Summer Term 2025 will run from July 7 - July 25, 2025.
WEEK 1: Social Media Savvy
Core Focus: Online Safety · Body Image · Digital Boundaries · Platform Influence

In Week One, students take a deep dive into the platforms they use every day. They’ll explore how social media shapes our self-image, relationships, and attention spans — and what it means to be safe, kind, and intentional online. Students will dissect viral trends, analyze the impact of filters and algorithms, and debate whether platforms are helping or harming. Highlights include interactive roleplay, campaign design, and a final debate on digital responsibility.

WEEK 2: Amazing AI
Core Focus: Artificial Intelligence · Ethics · Algorithms · Automation

What is AI, really? In Week Two, campers will explore how artificial intelligence affects everything from what music we hear to how job interviews are run. Through creative design activities, TED-style talks, and group projects, they’ll investigate how machines learn, where bias can creep in, and how society should — or shouldn’t — regulate AI. From designing their own ethical AI to debating its impact on jobs, students will gain a deeper understanding of one of today’s most powerful technologies.

WEEK 3: Journalism Journeys
Core Focus: Media Literacy · Bias Detection · Truth in the Digital Age
Our final week transforms students into critical thinkers and digital truth-seekers. They’ll uncover how news is made, how bias shows up in media, and why misinformation spreads so easily online. With hands-on research, headline quizzes, and a “fact-check toolkit” they build themselves, campers will leave empowered to ask tough questions and share stories with impact. The week ends with a student-led debate on the role of citizen journalism and ethical reporting in the digital era.
